Eyebrow Lamination
Fuller, More Polished Brows Without Daily Styling
If your brow hairs grow in different directions, lay flat, or have gaps you’re constantly filling in with pencil, eyebrow lamination can give you the reset they need.
At Grandeur Ink & Esthetics in Seattle, we specialize in brow lamination that creates a fuller, more groomed look while keeping your brow hairs healthy and conditioned throughout the process.
What Is Eyebrow Lamination?
Eyebrow lamination is a gentle chemical treatment that redirects and sets brow hairs into a more uniform shape, creating the appearance of fuller, more polished brows.
This treatment is ammonia free and uses a cysteamine-based formula infused with keratin, conditioning your brow hairs while shaping them. Think of it as a blowout for your brows, one that holds for weeks.
By lifting and resetting the natural growth pattern of your brow hairs, lamination can help fill visual gaps, improve symmetry, and create a more defined, brushed-up look without any pigment or tattooing involved.
Benefits of Eyebrow Lamination
Many clients choose eyebrow lamination because it offers:
- Improved brow symmetry
- Tamed, unruly brow hairs
- A fuller appearance
- Added structure and definition
- Simplified daily brow styling
- A gentle, ammonia-free formula
- Keratin-infused conditioning during treatment
- Results that last 6–8 weeks
Eyebrow lamination is also an excellent complement to eyebrow tattoo and other permanent makeup. By redirecting brow hairs into a more uniform shape, it can help create the appearance of fuller brows and improve coverage in sparse areas.
When combined with a Korean Lash Lift, eyebrow lamination creates a naturally enhanced appearance that requires minimal effort each morning.
Eyebrow Lamination vs Eyebrow Tattoo
Both treatments enhance the brows, but they achieve different results.
Eyebrow lamination redirects and sets your existing brow hairs into a more uniform shape, lasting 6–8 weeks. It’s ideal for unruly, flat, or hard-to-style hairs that simply need to be trained into place.
Eyebrow tattoo deposits pigment into the skin to add shape, fullness, and definition that lasts 2–5 years. It’s ideal for filling in sparse areas or correcting asymmetry that brushing alone can’t fix.
It’s popular to combine both as lamination smooths hairs into place while the tattoo fills in any remaining gaps underneath, creating a fuller, more cohesive look that makeup alone can’t replicate.
Who Is a Good Candidate for Eyebrow Lamination?
Eyebrow lamination may be ideal if you:
- Have uneven brow growth
- Want fuller-looking brows
- Have unruly or flat brow hairs
- Prefer a brushed-up brow style
- Want a low-maintenance brow solution
- Want to enhance symmetry without makeup
We don’t recommend eyebrow lamination for clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have active skin conditions in the brow area (such as eczema, psoriasis, or dermatitis), have irritated, inflamed, or broken skin around the eyebrows, have recently undergone chemical peels, laser treatments, or skin resurfacing near the brows, have damaged or over-processed brow hairs, or have allergies to lamination solutions. If you’re unsure, reach out and we can talk through your specific situation.
Eyebrow Lamination Preparation
For best results, please arrive with clean, makeup-free brows. If you’ve recently tinted, waxed or tweezed your brows, let us know so we can adjust timing if needed.
Aftercare
Eyebrow lamination requires very little downtime.
For the first 24 hours after treatment:
- Avoid steam, saunas, and swimming
- Avoid rubbing or sleeping directly on treated brows
- Brush brows daily into your desired shape while the new pattern sets
Following these guidelines helps ensure optimal results and longevity. Re-laminating every 6–8 weeks is recommended to maintain your shape.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does eyebrow lamination last?
Results typically last 6–8 weeks, depending on hair growth and individual factors.
Does eyebrow lamination hurt?
No. Eyebrow lamination is a painless treatment, most clients describe it as relaxing. There are no needles and no tattooing involved, just a gentle solution applied to the brow hairs.
Will it damage my brow hairs?
The cysteamine-based, keratin-infused formula is designed to be gentler than traditional lamination products, conditioning hairs during the process rather than just lifting them. As with any chemical treatment, results can vary based on hair health, so let us know if your brows are already compromised from waxing, tweezing, or other treatments.
Can I tint my brows during the same appointment?
Yes. Brow tint can be added as a same-day add-on for additional definition.
Can I get eyebrow lamination and eyebrow tattoo at the same appointment?
The order matters here. If you’re getting eyebrow tattoo first, give it 6–8 weeks (after your final touch-up) before lamination. Your skin needs that time to fully close and heal before it can handle lamination’s chemicals. If lamination first, then waiting 2 weeks before your tattoo so your skin and hair have settled. Worth the wait, though, once healed, the two together give you filled-in gaps from the tattoo and natural fullness from the lamination.
Can I get eyebrow lamination and a Korean lash lift at the same appointment?
Yes. Many clients choose to combine both services for a complete lash and brow enhancement in one visit.
